Over the last several weeks there has been quite a bit of discussion among our mentors regarding how money should be used in mentoring relationships. We have some feedback and discussion regarding this issue in the Forum section of this blog. Please take time to read and post any thoughts or input you may have regarding this issue.
February 5, 2007: On-Going Mentor Training
At Monday’s ongoing training meeting for current mentors, Donna Crossway spoke with the mentors and staff about Kairos - a program that supports and serves those who are incarcerated, as well as, individuals and families “on the outside” that are impacted by incarceration. The mission of Kairos Ministries is to bring Christ’s love and forgiveness to all incarcerated individuals, their families, and those who work with them, while assisting in the transition of becoming a productive citizen. Donna was also able to share some ideas and suggestions for mentors that are investing in children through Children Of Promise. For more information about the Kairos Prison Ministry, follow this link to their website: www.kairosprisonministry.org.
Go ahead and put this on your calendars!
