All children, families, and mentors involved with our program are invited to come and spend a little time getting fit for this Spring!

Swimming in the indoor pool
Access to the climbing wall
Games and snacks in the game room

Also, if anyone in the Children of Promise families needs a bathing suit, you may call Sarah Wells at Good Samaritan’s at (423) 928 - 0288. Let her know you are with Children of Promise and you will be able to get a brand-new bathing suit from Good Samaritan Ministries.

Directions: The CPA is located on the ETSU campus. On State of Franklin, turn into the ETSU campus at the light across from the entrance to the VA medical center. Follow this road until it ends and take a right. You should see the CPA complex and parking on your right.

Just a quick reminder…

This Thursday, March 29th, we have our monthly Fun Expedition event starting around 5:30 pm to give time for homework activities! Again, Children of Promise will be providing dinner in the Fun Expedition cafeteria! Don’t forget: mentees must work on homework activities for 30 minutes before playing in order to get free admission!

Also…On-Going Mentor Training is coming up on Monday, April 2nd. We will have food, fellowship, and a time of learning about topics relevant to mentoring children of prisoners. Hope to see our current mentors there!!!

Here at Children of Promise, we have been staying busy despite the Spring breaks and Spring fever that is infecting everyone!!

We are so thankful for the dedication and hard work of our current mentors, many of which are going above and beyond expectations to impact the lives of the kids in our programs. Many thanks to our mentors!

However, we are continually finding more kids that need a mentor as we continue to reach out to the community. If you are currently not mentoring (or know someone who would make a great one!), please contact us about getting started! We only ask for one hour a week and a year-long commitment.

Otherwise, we just want to ask anyone reading this to pray for our program, for all our current mentor/mentee matches, and for future mentors to help even more children here in Johnson City. Ultimately, it is God who makes these matches and intervenes to bring His love to the children in Children of Promise!
