A reminder that we kick off Fun Expedition– Expedition to Learning this Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00pm. You must do 30 minutes of learning (reading, homework, etc.) with your mentee before playing. We will have a couple of party rooms to do work in and then you may play and/or eat.
Cost is $10.00 for a 1 hour play and 2 attractions for both you and your mentee.
Dinner is $5.00 for you and Boys to Men will pick up your mentees dinner since this is our kick-off for this school year.

Yes that’s right. Expect More and Pay Less in your mentoring relationships. On Tuesday September 16th here at the Refuge from 6:30-7:30 we will be having our Monthly Mentor Survivor. We will be talking about Expecting more out of your relationships while Spending less money on your mentee. This is a great time for fellowship with other mentors and improving your relationship. There will be a light snack provided. Hope to see you there. Please RSVP in the comment box below.
Get excited about our annual trip to Wetlands!!!
We will be renting out Wetlands Water Park on Thursday, July 17th from 6-8 pm. We will have dinner and lots of fun swimming time. If you’ve never been to Wetlands, it is a great place for kids of all ages to cool off and enjoy the water.
Everyone is invited . . . . mentors, mentees, mentee’s families and your family! So, please join us.
We need for you to communicate with your mentee’s family about this event. Please invite them to come if they are able.

This Saturday June 28th we will be having a bonfire for all the male mentors and mentees. We will have the bonfire of course, smores, fun games, and even a night hike through the woods. We will be starting at 7:00pm on Travis Salyers property toward Kingsport the directions are below. We are asking the mentors to bring a flashlight for the night hike. Also you will need to bring your own chairs to sit around the fire. Please leave a comment on this bulletin to RSVP.
Directions:
From Johnson City take I-26 toward Kingsport
Take the Rock Springs Rd. Exit
Turn left at the end of the exit ramp and go back under the interstate.
Turn Right onto Rock Springs Dr.
You will pass Rock Springs Methodist Church on the right and go up a hill at the top of the hill stay Right.
You will then be going back down hill and the road will go back left.
Continue on Rock Springs Dr. to 606 Rock Springs Drive on the left. There is a red brick ranch house and a gravel driveway.
